Delete Your Barnaby Account

The fastest way to delete your account is from the Barnaby app:

1. Open the Barnaby app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm you understand the consequences.
4. Enter the one-time verification code we send to your registered phone number (or email).

Your account is locked immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. If you have an email address on file, we will email you a cancellation link you can use any time before the scheduled date.

If you no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion by email. Write to hello@barnaby.in with the subject "Account deletion request" and include the phone number (and email, if any) registered to your Barnaby account.

We will verify the request belongs to you (we may send a one-time code to your registered phone number or email) and then schedule the deletion with the same 30-day grace period. Privacy and data-rights requests are handled within 30 days, as required by the DPDP Act.

• Your profile, contact details, and login credentials
• Pet and livestock profiles, photos, and health records
• Chat messages, notifications, saved items, and app settings

Some records are retained in anonymized form because Indian law requires it:

• Payment and tax records (IT Act / GST — up to 7 years)
• Prescriptions and consultation records (veterinary record-keeping rules)

These retained records are stripped of your name, contact details, and other personal identifiers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

During the 30-day grace period your account is locked but not yet deleted. To cancel the deletion, open the cancellation link in the confirmation email we sent you, or write to hello@barnaby.in from your registered email (or mention your registered phone number) before the scheduled deletion date. After that date, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
